Crimson Sky call it a day

Crimson Sky at Reading South Street Arts CentreSad news that Crimson Sky have decided to call it a day, with brief announcements on Facebook and Twitter this afternoon. They will be making one final live appearance on Sunday 16th Nov at The Louisiana in Bristol, supporting Also Eden.

We are very sad to announce that, after the gig supporting Also Eden on 16th November, we have decided to disband Crimson Sky. Martin, Clive, Moray, Adrian and Jane all thank you for your support. It has been lots of fun, and we’ll all remain good friends.

At the moment the band have no plans to record any of the new material that featured in recent live sets.

That’s a shame. Enjoyed their EP and a couple of live shows last year.
Hopefully this wont be the last we hear of the individual musicians.

I’m really sorry to hear that. I always felt they never quite got the credit they deserved and Misunderstood remains one of my favourite albums. Unfortunately I only managed to catch just one of their live shows but I did get to have brief chats with both Jane and Martin and they seem like really nice people. I wish them all well in whatever they choose to do.

Yes, it’s a shame. The new material they’d been playing live in their last few shows was sounding very promising, and was an interesting development of their sound.
