Dudley Bug Ball

Spent an enjoyable Saturday at the Dudley Bug Ball, playing games such as Car Wars, where I crashed and burned early on thanks to Harvey Mills (A point-blank hit from a rocket and a t-bone collision; that's just not fair!), Chez Geek, where you win by drinking beer and sleeping, and Hero Wars.

Sadly neither the journey to Birmingham nor the return featured any of the surviving Virgin Cross-Country class 47s. Outward journey was a shiny new Voyager, and the return was diverted West Coast 87, which took us through Bescot.

Additional piece of trivia. Yesterday was St Pancras Day, not officially the patron saint of class 45/1s.
