Two Online Gaming Zines

Two online gaming zines hit the net in the last couple of days.

First, the June issue of Dreamscribe, the house zine of the Dreamlyrics community. While this one contains a lot of news about forum members, this month does have a good retrospective on Lace & Steel by Paul Kidd.

Second is issue 16 of Fudge Factor, about all things Fudge. This has been going from strength to strength recently, and all the articles are well worth reading.

Dreamscribe is a gaming zine? I found (after some digging) an article about a wedding (called a forum wedding, though it was live, so I assume it was a couple of people from the forum?) and one about a guy's job history.

Maybe I was in the wrong place, but it looked more like a zine about a community that happens to be about gaming, rather than a zine about gaming.

Did you see the Lace and Steel retrospective?

Not until you posted the link (you sneaky person, changing the entry after I commented).

In fact, I still can't find it from the main page, only from the direct link. I can find A Forum Wedding, Lurker's Log, and Puzzles. And then 2004 (and older) articles, which IIRC are past issues.

It wasn't even clear to me that it was actually a zine. Other than the intro page *says* it is, that is, but I'd've guessed "okay, it's still under construction and they haven't published yet."

Maybe I'm stupid.

It's in "Game System Overview" on the right hand menu.
